I would like to start by saying that I am an early bird. I start my morning routine by waking up at 5:00 a.m. Following that, I workout for forty five minutes, shower for around ten minutes, eat breakfast, and go about the day according to my plans. Now my focus is on my breakfast. I believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You need to get important nutrients such as proteins and carbohydrates from your breakfast meal. In my opinion, Chechebsa is the breakfast meal that provides the nutrients required, great taste and much more.
What Chechebsa is
Chechebsa is an Ethiopian food made from flat bread. It is a breakfast meal but can be eaten at anytime of the day. It has a sweet taste. Besides that it has a soft texture when you’re chewing it. Flour, butter, sugar, and salt are the main constituents of Chechebsa.
To make Chechebsa you need a list of the following ingredients :
- Very small amount of Chili pepper
- Water is also a key ingredient in the preparation because you need it to make batter.
As I’ve previously stated, Chechebsa is made from flat bread. To make the flat bread, you need to mix the flour you have with pepper and butter and add a small amount of salt and sugar to the flour mixture. Following that, add water to the flour mixture and start mixing it to make a batter. After that, prepare a frying pan and add a small amount of oil. Place your batter in the pan, add butter, and start cooking it. Flip the batter so that both of its sides are cooked well. You can tell the Chechebsa is cooked by the brown color that is formed. Following the cooking process, cut the flat bread into small pieces. Your Chechebsa is now ready to be eaten. Make sure to give it a try. I’m sure you will love it.
